“I wanted to add a fountain to my yard. I had the fountain and some existing plants and called Mike to pull it together. He has great plant knowledge and creative ideas. He moved the existing plants and used some in the new design, rearranged the existing boulders and the results are really nice. We bought a few new plants because I wanted the fountain framed to separate it from the canyon view behind it. He made note of what was in my yard (not just what plants, but what colors and forms he needed to compliment) — his plant choices were spot on. Previous to this project Mike and his team replaced the drip system in my yard and planted a tree for me. I was very happy with that work as well. Mike is enthusiastic and knowledgable about plants, irrigation and landscaping.”

“Originally thinking we would simply get our fairly small cement pond repaired and sealed, we called Columbia to get an estimate. Carl gave us the advantages and disadvantages of repairing and resealing, and then respectfully asked if we would like other ideas. He described his vision of taking the existing sloping hill, giant boulders and cement "bridge" and reworking them, making a small pond at the top, which flows into a series of twisting waterfalls, over the "bridge" into the now-revamped pond, and then recirculates back to the top. He also incorporated a redwood bridge over the pond, adding a beautiful focal point. Carl was very patient with us as we asked many questions, worked with our budget, and ensured the project was completed prior to our housewarming party. The 4 stars, rather than 5, is only because the pond developed a few areas of "water wicking." However, Carl and Columbia always responded to our calls to rework the liner in some areas to minimize this.”
