Where are the tiles from? Are you the supplier? If so what are they?

Hi Gigi, yes indeed we are the supplier, manufacturer and installer of this stonework. All the pieces were cut to size from slabs, in other words bespoke. The stone used here is Arabescato Corchia. Hi, Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I'd like to think the floor's levelled as it's raised on concrete beams and a self levelling compound was used to level out any unevenness if I remember correctly (the contractor was handling this side of things)...I'll attach an image of the wet underfloor heating system installed (and the approx location of the cracked tile), upon which a screed was laid. Thanks! Our cat looks out through the current cat flap anyway to make sure the coast is clear before committing himself! I agree glass looks better, but actually if we then put a cat flap in one pane it might spoil the look of it anyway if it’s double doors as it would be off-centre. If our cat flap ever needs replacing perhaps uPVC would be easier, as you say we could do it ourselves.

My friend has the large white porcelain tiles throughout ground floor of her open plan home with underfloor heating. They look great in a contemporary home - cleaning is not a problem - white/light coloured tiles are easy to keep clean unlike black tiles, which are a nightmare (if they’re polished porcelain). She has 2 kids and 2 dogs and the floor never looks grubby so I would say go for it if you love them. As above posts, the starkness can be broken up with rugs, plants etc.
