Comments (4)I agree crisp white and a change of handles would look great. Also a industrial grey would look amazing, especically with the exposed hardware. Comments (13)You could go for a warm grey scheme like Elephants Breath on the render, Charleston Gray on the woodwork and a different colour on the door like Brassica (all F&B), or if you prefer a traditional grey, purbeck stone render and moles breath on all the woodwork. Comments (7)Hi Loula, I would probably start with a geometric rug in grey and white. A shape mirroring that of the chair detailing. This will also still be crisp and contemporary like the rest of the space. Cushions in white will help tie the colours throughout the space rather than just having blocks of it. A large piece of art of work in the same colours on the wall behind the dining table would really work.. maybe a peaceful seascape to add a bit of tranquillity to an area for relaxing. Finish with a few accessories on the table and beside the TV to help bridge the gaps. Grey is a great contemporary colour that will work well with the scheme you have started. You now just need a few more layers to really bring it to life. At the end, as Liz suggested, you could add a single punch of a great colour to add a little warmth - my suggestions would be burnt orange or a deep rich purple. PRO8 years agoHello suani60, Well another suggestion would be to have a complimentary look to that of the living room but in a lighter shade.. So you have a subtle nod to the living room which is not too far away! I tend to think that whilst you may want contrast in the property, for a cohesive look, it's better to have some continuity.. You could also just continue the colours... have a maroon floor, Cream cabinets and possibly maroon splash back.. With a really chalky cream like whitening by little greene, it could be lovely.. Or Maroon floor, maroon cupboards at low level and cream at eye level.. With a translucent maroon glass splash back.: ))
