Breakfast bar - yes or no
Comments (9)Hi Stefan, Regarding the garage I would leave it as is, if you are planning on selling than I would leave it for the next owner to decided if they need the storage or the extra living space. As for the breakfast bar and knocking the dividing wall this might be a better idea to add value to your home. Most clients are going for an open plan dining/ kitchen area. Having this arrangement is great for social gatherings and a breakfast bar is great for informal dining. If you could show us a few photos or your current kitchen we might be able to suggest a few more ideas. We hope this helps. The team at Modus Kitchens...See MoreNeed advice fro breakfast bar support
Comments (10)Smiffy47, you are going to have a major problem getting barstools that are high enough for a worktop at 115 to 120 cm off the ground. Also if you do get any, you will almost need a ladder to climb up onto the seat. I strongly recommend that you try to reduce the height of your worktop by 10 or 15 cm. Then you will be able to sit comfortably on a standard adjustable bar stool, at its highest setting, without your chin resting on the worktop. We get this problem so regularly. People put in a breakfast bar about 4 feet (120 cm) above floor level then they can't get any barstools to suit. I do not know of any legs that are 115 to 120 cm long, so I think that brackets would be the best answer. Maybe the brackets could be modified or made specially by a blacksmith/ metal worker to hook over the hole and hang down, supporting the worktop at a lower height?...See MoreLook at this unique illuminated breakfast bar!
Comments (14)Thanks everyone for all the positive comments. Just to answer your query Lisa-jane. The resin which you see lite fills the hole of the groove so there are no grooves etc so no problem with the crumbs. The light; you should never need to change them they should last approx 30,000 hrs. The ones in our showroom has been going for nearly 2 years 24, 7. If you did need to change them it is not difficult....See Morebreakfast bar urgent advice needed
Comments (6)It would normally sit on large brackets fabricated to take the weight and I believe the granite is honed underneath to take the depth of the bracket so that they are flush with the underneath . I think maybe if we saw the design then it would be easier to suggest something. These guys ship to the UK Original Granite Bracket...See MoreRanila Ravi-Burslem
