wallpaper for living room wall

Hi,
I need help with selecting a nice wallpaper for my huge living room. There is a wall next to the dining space inside living room. the chairs have deep red seats and dark brown wood. I have printed mosaic tiles(age old) which is a mix of coffee & dark brown. I wish to put a nice wallpaper on this wall. Please give me a color palette and some examples to select from..Thanks!!

Hubby doesn't like the patterned one Kerry. His preference is to have the chimney breast in red and the rest in something plain like below for the alcoves and other walls. Would welcome your thoughts.Also we are planning an electric insert fire on chimney breast and have posted a separate question on that. Do you think we doing the right thing as we would need to widen the hole where it slots in ? Just thought it would add to modernisation of room. Suite and carpet would have to wait for another year . Thanks.

Hi again, I think the best bet would be to pick out the blue/green for behind the stove, otherwise you will always have a vertical cream / grey stripe breaking the wall up. You could always wallpaper across the enitire wall and put a piece of clear glass behind the stove (screwed not glued), which would tie in with your glass hearth. Another option would be to have an enamel heat shield made for behind the stove in the blue / green colour. The same colour could be used for the wall behind the sofa whch would contrast well, then paint the other walls in one of the cream shades. It sounds as if you have plenty of light being south facing, so it should be OK. The inset photograph illustrates an enamel heat shield.

Thanks Minnie, I will look for a couple of darker accessories to bring the room together. We loved the grape wallpaper and had it until recently, as we fancied a change. We haven't had the grey wallpaper long unfortunately, but it just doesn't look right so decided to have a redo. (This is the only chance I've got though so anxious to get it right!) We are upgrading to a bigger TV, but it's still in the box at the moment! Hopefully the electrician who will hang it on the wall will be able to fit us in this week or next, and then I can decide what to put above the sideboard and piano. I know the TV will be wider than the TV cabinet but unfortunately we can't change any of the furniture. I'm hoping to find a way to make it look more balanced maybe by placing something on either side of the TV cabinet like plants and/or lanterns. Here's another photo of the wallpapers up on the wall - I'm maybe leaning towards the left one, as I like the textured look - might be longer lived than the patterns? I'm not sure.
