Can you print out 1:100 scale templates for beds tables etc?

Hi we have just received architect plans for our renovation and would really like to play at where beds etc can go and wonder is there a facility that we can print our usual size blocks for beds tables etc. Thanks

You can find templates at art stores in different scales. You would just have to cut them out and them move them around.

Just use an ordinary ruler 1cm = 1m so a bed would be 1.5cm x 2cm
Draw your furniture to size and cut them out and have a play ! Just remember to write in each scrap of paper what's what ! Have fun !!!

Dont feel overwhelmed take your time its just a matter of trying things and see how you feel in the space, Its difficult to feel the space from a photo so take what you like and see how you feel ! You are getting there, it would be good if the desk could go elsewhere ,but if it needs to be in the room then so be it, we work around it! the curtains are fine they really suit the window etc! You dont have to use the red in the picture, you can always pick up the grey, white or gold for cushions! wall sconces look beautiful and yes you do seem to go for the classic look which is lovely! but these days you can mix and match a bit! Your choices are great I am sure we will be able to help you make this space one you are happy with!

Hello Minnie, There will be the hallway and some in the bedroom. Yes gee whizz, I prefer to design than actually do in this case. Painting I find enjoyable but papering definitely not so much. Your sons room sounds quite a difficulty so gr8 for you that you managed, and I can definitely see how you would feel a sense of achievement. I do feel quite pleased with how it all ties in. I also just used a paint brush to brush it all and no plumb line.. Normal scissors and a sense of urgency.. Yes the size was quite a dramatic feeling. It's not a small room I don't think, and it's just as it is shot wise but the dark on dark made the whole thing feel larger and more elegant. The paper is Oreste Carbon by Zoffany. Thank you yes the tapes on the frames, I do like a mix of old and new and I use my picture rails so I thought it a good way of showing. Ah the lamp .. It's broken in 3 places and held together with glue and plumbing seals.. It was from Graham and Green but over 10 years ago. Never seen anything like it since, not sure if somewhere like eBay would have something similar.. and it's rather tricky on uneven boards. I have a large marble weight that sits on its base as the counter balance doesn't really allow for anything but the most even of flooring. Got a few flowers from Oka and thank you for telling me, I did look in my emails to find code. Waiting for a payment for a day from October so should not have really. It's one of those things where you have to buy a few at a time for several months till you can achieve a really fantastic display. Yes Bob has her ways but so gorgeous I try to give her things and the door mat is a good one too but somehow... Like the sound of the book that may have to go on my list.. Love the veggie lunch.. I am down to chicken occasionally and fish regularly. will be looking for a recipe for the stained glass biscuits.. :))

Hey Liornoli, sorry I have been busy helping with our driveway extension this weekend and was too pooped at night to surf the net. I think your black bed would work well with the orange AND the TEAL. But I would keep the teal to a minimum, cushions and maybe a little dish on the bedside to keep your rings bracelets etc, or a small vase/plant pot. As for curtains where do you live? I could link to a few here in the UK but not sure that would help you. Love Fizz's advice on tap lamps but make sure they are not gigantic in proportions. Could you not add some taller legs to your current ones to raise them a little?

It was pricey but half of it was for planning. Yes I think my mum was hoping to get the whole kitchen done on the first quote ie including kitchen, floor and appliances! I haven't used the links no. Here's something that will help re finding an architect https://www.architecture.com/FindAnArchitect/Assets/Documents/Workingwithanarchitectforyourhome.pdf and another one on costs http://www.architect-yourhome.com/cost-estimator/ there's also an online architect service that a few people have recommended, will try and find the name of them. You can also look in the pro section on Houzz for architects in your area as hopefully they will also include reviews. It will also be key to have the kitchen and bathroom designed properly (and the overall space). The architect can probably do that or speak to someone like Karen at OnePlan ( above) who can probably also help with some cost saving ideas. I LOVE those first doors, would much rather have those than bifolds personally!
