Hi all, i am looking for ideas for getting rid of the ramp and having steps up to the garage door which i am not using for a car, i would like to integrate it all into the garden. Any ideas ? ( the pink crazy paving will have to go)

Depends what your budget is.
If the sky is the limit then you could add large windows to both sides facing the garden. You could add a pergola, oversized plants in big pots, mirrors and a table a chairs.
As far as look you could keep the paving and clad the garage with stone to create a cottage or Mediterranean look. Alternatively cover the paving with resin and render the garage and paint the wood grey for a crisp modern look.
Or add white decking and pergola for a New England look.
Don't forget to plant the opposite side if the garden so you have something nice to look at from this corner

Well that sounds different !, I am taking the lawn up and putting in new steps it was the drive and 1in4 gradient i wanted to change,i was thinking of painting the wood in F&B greenblue, i had already thought of a pergola as i have a lovely candle chandelier to hang. I also love the New England look. Thankyou so much.

This is a large space that you can really do so much with. I voted to use the garage as a games room. You can keep the workshop if this is something of use to you, have enough room to park the car and create a fantastic games room with a seating area, fridge for drinks and incorporate a TV and sound system. Something like below.

For many years, we had a similar set up with exercise equipment, tumble dryer, extra freezer and storage in the garage. We used garage floor paint to eliminate the dust from the floor shortly after we moved in. We just put an offcut of carpet on most of the floor, but rubber will work as well. The biggest difference to draughts etc was changing from an up and over garage door to an electric roller door. I’m sure extra insulation on walls wouldn’t hurt though.

@ideasforinteriors - thank you. We are open to losing that door anyway as we already have a back door at the kitchen, so that wouldn’t be too much of a problem. We could possibly add another back door to a utility space in the middle. At the moment that would open into the walkway round the house but we have a lot of space at this side of the house so it wouldn’t disrupt anything. So would you all say it would be better to put en-suite in the garage conversion rather than split the main bathroom?
