Which is better, Shower Boarding or Tiled Shower Walls?
Comments (2)Hi! Me again! saying - a combination of the two :-p http://www.grespania.com/coverlam.php?sec=int Like we did in our bathroom, you could also use that 3 mm thin tile that comes in panels as large as 3X1 m. You'd need a good tiler to install it (it needs an almost perfect horizontal/ vertical surface) and can go for an extremely thin grout line. And it's not as expensive as back painted glass or resin panels, it costs just a bit more than an average, normal ceramic tiles....See MoreTo see or not to see - glass in shower?
Comments (4)I have now! I didn't use one in my previous home and after a few years, no matter how much I scrubbed, I couldn't get the droplet stains off. So I have no experience on regular cleaning :). My sister, who is a regular cleaner, says it will still get dirty in the end. But maybe she didn't use Viakal :). I must admit I don't use the squeegee much. Our current shower cubicle has tiny 20x20cm white tiles and no hand sprayer. It just doesn't seem to matter whether I use it or not. Can't wait to get a shower with large tiles!...See MoreShowers: What is the minimum size glass screen to prevent a wet floor?
Comments (14)Hi, so we went for a 1600x800 tray with a glass panel 900 wide. That leaves an opening 700 and it looks great. I think a smaller opening, even with the bath positioned as it is, would feel too small. However we do get lots of splash on the floor. It's ok but a less soggy mat would be better. I'm good at being awear of this. My wife however thinks we have a wet room. I think a 1100 screen would pretty much stop all splash (but would need a longer tray as the 700 opening would look a bit small) and also a wider tray would obviously help slightly as the shower rose would be a fraction further from the opening. I'll add a photo, but excuse the mess! I still need to install the tiled bath and shower base panels...See MoreBathroom worktop idea - clear glass layer on tiled worktop?
Comments (3)It`d be more understandable if you could attach a photo of what it might look like approximately, just not very clear what you mean. I think with such a question you should contact directly to the company, which will do it, but I can tell you something about the countertop. I advise you to choose quartz, as this material is the most durable, it has a great glossy sheen, as you want, it`s resistant to moisture, and since it will be in the bathroom - this is the most important criterion. I have quartz countertops too, bought here Quartz Kitchen Worktops Hull so I know all the benefits of this material firsthand....See MoreSignature Interiors
