Comments (5)There are several things to consider when installing antique mirrored tiles. Because they are so shiny and reflective they will show the dirt more than a normal gloss ceramic tile. Also it’s important to check with your supplier that they are suitable for installation near heat or water. Essentially they are clear glass tiles with a backing which might react when exposed to certain things. Karen...See MoreIdeas on how to cover a radiator fitted below a window seat
Comments (14)Thanks. The seat is 50cms deep and was originally designed by an architect to be a window seat. It still has the same solid support for the first 40cms depth, I've just removed the original decorative panel and replaced it with a very thin radiator. The old wooden front panel and supports would probably still have fitted back in place but I disliked it and threw it out, and it wouldn't have been easy to perforate. I'd been trying to avoid a metal screen, as I can imagine it will clang a bit if someone's sitting on the seat and swinging their legs. But it's a good idea apart from that. My current thought is to have a fixed panel in the middle and some hinged doors at each end of the radiator (for access) ,with the MDF attached to the front edge of the seat rather than fitted underneath. Comments (5)Hey Tara How about some shutters? You can have these installed into the recessed so the thickness of the shutter itself is about 2cm, which will open and sit against the wall, with no obstruction to your view, but will provide complete blackout when closed. (Lots of example on Pinterest.) Another option may be to have full floor to ceiling length curtains on a runner, this would look fab and really elevate the window. Something to think about! Hope this help, and if you need any advice or a nudge in the right directions feel free to contact me. :) Speak soon and good luck! - Kerry @KerryBryanInteriors...See MoreRenovation Management by Bastani Consultants
