There is a snow white and colonial white. Which one was used here?

I love those beds too, thinking of putting one in my attic room! It will depend on what else you want to put in the room. Usually the bed dominates most rooms and therefore, if you want a bold statement piece with fabulous bedding go for the dark grey, i think it's my favourite. However, the paler grey will keep the room looking light and airy and possibly slightly bigger than the bolder bed. What accent colours do you like?

It comes down to personal taste doesn’t it? I prefer white tile with white grout as I think the grey grout has a grubbiness about it, rather like public toilets in the 1960’s and 70’s. Obviously if you are relatively young then you will not have this wonderful memory lol!

i can't believe how much time and effort I'm putting into choosing 'the perfect white'... I actually have white mist in my kitchen/diner and love it, but I have a mad hangup about not using the same colour twice, and consequently end up reinventing the wheel every time we decorate. I can see all the photos now, and it really helps to visualise the colours. Timeless is definitely out, but I'm going to have a look at Wimborne white on the colour card, and then maybe find a coin to toss regarding rock salt, white mist and white cotton! Ugh!

This subject warrents a PhD thesis, there is no easy answer. Jonathan's comment is interesting. Wimborne White is often touted as the 'go to' white to use when things are dingy but I'm not convinced of that. It can look like a lovely warm white in sunny rooms but can look quite yellow in less bright spaces. I don't think F&B do a big enough range of neutrals to be honest. Little Greene has a much better collection that has more stoney and pinky hues that might be worth trying I would suggest trying a slightly pinkish tinged white for your North spaces, rather than Wimborne. The lighter the room, the more logical it woud be to paint it a light colour, white reflects existing light, so if a room has lots of natural light then white will flatter it.
