Hi there. We are renovating a very unloved Victorian end of terrace and have put caking roses in all the rooms. We can't work out what we need to do with the light fittings. In the bedrooms we don't want to be too extravagant but in the living and dining rooms we'd really like something a bit more impressive. This generally means weighty, so we don't want to fix them to the roses, we need to fit them to something a little stronger.
So firstly, how can we make the simple bedroom light fittings look great, what does a simple light fitting look like? Can you just hang a simple white or plain wire?
Secondly, how do you secure a heavier light fitting/ chandelier to the ceiling rose (or don't you?)
Any advice would be very helpful!
Thanks!!
