Before and After- Winter Garden Entrance

On the edge of the moors, this Ilkley Moor garden needs to stand up to harsh winter weather. Oceans of tarmac and an asbestos garage were spoiling the potential of this 1904 arts and crafts style stone property.

By replacing the old shed and the majority of tarmac with stone setts and formal vegetable beds, (the owners are veg growing enthusiasts) the house and garden are drawn together in the same style. The veg garden area will act as a screen (when mature) from the road, to the seating area beyond. The attractive stone setts harmonize with the house at the same time allowing a car to still park in front of the property.
