Please could you let me know where the dining chairs are from and how could I get 6 for my dining table?

Ok, so 52 inches is just about 133 cms which will give you ample room to seat two 'standard' width chairs between the legs of the table. Most dining chairs are around 50cms wide and this would give the following spacing table leg > 11cm > chair > 11cm > chair > table leg. When we are working out what size table someone may need, or how many chairs they would like to seat, we usually work on spacing of no less than 5cm around any chair - this is still comfortable elbow/leg room. So if you work on this basis, of going no less than 5cm, the chairs you will eventually find for your table should be no more than 59cm wide. So don't forget to always carry a tape measure when you are out and about! You never know when you are going to come across the chairs you want. I hope this helps

I didn't vote, I don't want either really. I'm not into things that make a "statement". I like thing to be harmonious, which compliment and co-ordinate with each other, no one item thing standing out. I don't mind things that are a focal point of a room, but I don't want them to dominate the rest of the furniture or furnishings, so you only see that one thing. Besides, who am I making a statement to?

I'm inclined to think that patterned chairs would lift the whole scheme - everything is very plain block coliurs at present. It looks lovely in the living room - that blend of navy/ grey/ mauve looks very inviting and restful. I notice two footstools in a similar shade to the dining chairs, which look fine, and would still 'link' to the table. If you could find a fabric including the current shade of chairs, and some shades of navy/blue to pick up those in the living room, that would work well. Failing that, what about a large rug in similar shades to go under the table and chairs ?
