Paint Equivalent Dilemma - Skimming Stone & Just Walnut for Australia

I need some urgent advice on an equivalent *paint colour* for the below in the Australian Paint brand, Taubmans. The two below are my favourite colours from the UK brands. Dulux Australia does not stock Just Walnut UK colours and cannot make it up without an actual paint sample which I am currently unable to source on the Dulux UK website as they only deliver in the UK.

Hi linen check fabric looks good but would be concerned tattle clunch might look green in some light ! It might be better with white tie if you like the creamy colour or stony ground. It's very difficult to give you advice without having the samples of wallpaper and wood worktop in front of me I do sometimes goggle rooms or kitchens painted in farrow and ball white tie for example lots of images come up it also might be worth calling farrow and ball direct as they offer a great service on the tel for free Am assuming you are using an water based eggshell from farrow and ball and not colour matching the paint !otherwise all your work will be in vain as colour matching paint will never be the same as buying the paint from farrow and ball Advice don't paint the wall in any farrow and ball tester pots paint some lining paper or card board then you can move the board around the room and see the colour in different day light and in the evening in artificial light. Also means you can then save your £3.50 pot on the board ready to use in another room or lend to a friend. If you paint squares of colours all over the wall then it will only confuse you and it's difficult to paint over Farrow and ball paint is brilliant but never colour match Best of luck wish I could help you further Lindsey

HI LOUISA- I RECENTLY FACED A SIMILAR DILEMMA REGARDING GREYS AND CONTINUITY THROUGH THE HOUSE. I GOT LOTS OF TESTER POTS, SPENT A LOT, ALMOST GAVE UP THEN WHAM, I WAS IN A WILKO STORE AND SAW THEY SOLD PAINT, SO I GOT SOME TESTER POTS, WENT HOME AND TRIED THEM OUT, FELL IN LOVE WITH A COLOUR CALLED BIRCH WHITE-WILKO BEST SUPERIOR FLAT MATT EMULSION,ITS CHALKY LIKE FARROW AND BALL, SHOCKED AT THE QUALITY AND PRICE AT £15 FOR 2.5L ITS LIKE A SILVERY DOVE GREY, ITS VERY ETHEREAL, WHOLE FAMILY LOVES IT, HUSBAND IS VERY PLEASED AS I USUALLY DECORATE WITH FARROW AND BALL OR FIRED EARTH. I HAVE SEEN A PAINT FOR THE WOODWORK CALLED FRENCH GREY PALE BY LITTLE GREEN WHICH IS A GOOD MATCH. I DO GO ON A BIT, BUT MY POINT IS SHOP AROUND TILL YOUR REALLY 110% HAPPY.

Dulux Rock Salt is a grey but off-white which reflects a lot of light but dries darker than a white. It joins warmer colours like blush or grape well and the Laura Ashley Garrat side table in honey you can see sits well too. It easily matches your marble but would join your tiles, accent wall and floor up I'm positive. This is in our westerly facing landing and stairs which doesn't get a massive amount of light; painted this week (so not quite finished). In my view, yellowy greys look more of a beige too and would look sickly with your other colours (the dust sheets you can see are creamy beige for context). Rock salt looks very clean without out being cold.

Units along the length of the wall by the window in brown acacia at the bottom and soft gloss white on top. Worktop for units in carera white with black vien Carrara Misterio - Shaw Stone Ltd. 5. Splash back along the kitchen back wall by the hood - either in carera white or the optidek am 007 in copper /toffee with black ( sample of the pic is attached ) 5. 4 x side lights ( to be decided ) 6. In the snug area a rich coloured sofa and a rug ( to be selected ) 7. Cove lighting along the apex 8. Near the chimney breast a long dining table ( to be selected ) 9. Cabinets along with the chimney breast ( to be selected ) I agree - we need a colour which will be deep and will contrast with the grey concrete acupanel media unit - love the idea of the copper /toffee - will it be a sufficient contrast against the adjacent skimming stone walls ? Would you wallpaper/or can you suggest a colour? What about the Hague Blue - that is quite a deep colour? and I could offset that will some copper /toffee decorations on the back wall ? Also I would like a pop of colour near the dining area . My immediate task is to choose a colour for the backwall as the decorator is in within a couple week and the media unit will be installed the week after . Do i just play it safe and do the back wall skimming stone - and change the back wall colour later - or is there a colour that is an obvious choice ?
