I’m trying to put a door into my kitchen from the hallway. I think the best place for it is to turn the internal window under the stairs into a doorway. The only problem is the kitchen floor height is 10 brick courses higher than the hallway floor. Any suggestions on how to make the required 5 steps less steep or somehow break them up a bit. I would also like to add a kitchen door but I’m unsure of how this could work with the steps and without making the hallway look unsightly. I’ve attached a floor plan and picture of the hallway to help
