Comments (5)I would go for a splash of colour as the rest of the colour scheme looks a bit pale. Maybe deep red sofa with nice colourfull cushions to make a space more cheerful. Lovely big rug to match all the colours in the room, dark red, white, black, grey. Some nice lighting preferably crystal chandelier to add sophistication to a room and some art work on the walls....See MoreSplashback & Living room layout ideas needed please
Comments (2)Hi Sassy G, It's great how much natural light you are getting into this space from the patio doors and the light fixtures and fittings will help create the feel of a bigger space. For the Living Area: I would suggest a 2 seater against the back wall (as per your plan) and a small coffee table in front with your 2 cocktail chairs facing inwards. This helps create the feel of a separate living area but also accommodates for additional seating for guests. Or instead of the 2 cocktail chairs you could have an upholstered storage bench which doubles up as storage as well as seating. This is also great because it keeps the openness of the space. For the Kitchen: For the splashback I think a high gloss teal finish would look lovely here. It adds a splash of colour, its bright (but not too bright) and different and would look great against your current worktop. Paint ideas: Having an off white colour is a good choice for the living and dining area. You could also try two different paint colours for each of these rooms to help break up the space or incorporate a feature all paint colour such as Farrow and Ball 'Peignoir'. Your ideas are great and it will turn out lovely. If you need further help or advice for this project, or would like an interior designer for this I would be happy to help you - feel free to have a look at my profile or my website www.rebeccafullertoninteriors.com. Comments (1)It’s not a big house and I suspect that if you try to increase the number of rental bedrooms you only invite the student market which may not be your intention. You need to make the decision on your local market- I suspect your research will tell you that either no change will increase the rental potential enough to justify the cost. Or you might conclude two bedrooms with a bathroom each is great for sharing professionals...See MoreLiving and Dinning Room -Need help on Painting ideas and suggestions
Comments (12)Scandi look is often, but not always, light wood or light painted furniture with pale walls, usually white. So I would paint the walls white or off white and I would paint the wooden fire surround white too (Satinwood). The bookcase and tv unit are quite pale so should work. The sofas aren’t really in keeping with that look as they are so dark, but you could add some nice light cushions in various cottons in pale greens, pinks, beiges and blues. A nice natural jute rug will go well too. Pinterest has a huge array of pictures to inspire you. It’s very easy to join and you can save pictures to a mood board....See Morelkirk44
