New development project
Comments (17)It's difficult to tell on here but the windows look as if they're wood so can just be painted? I have no idea re cost unfortunately and there aren't that many builders on here either but if you are extending you will need a new roof anyway, I would guess a flat roof with corn icing would be cheaper than tiling but could be wrong. I think the best bet is to get 2 designs drawn up properly that you like the look of. The first being your ideal and the 2nd your make do on budget. Then get quotes in from at least 3 builders for both designs. You can obviously cut down on costs if you paint yourself but I'm not sure what state the windows and render is in. If it's poor, it may well be worth getting it done professionally. Do look at local places for windows, they may well be cheaper. If you know anyone in trades then do take advantage of any trade discounts as it can save a lot...See MoreEdit profile, add new pic from ipad

Please can you let me know which iPad (1st generation, air, mini etc.) you are using as well as the Houzz version? Thank you!...See MoreWill a new roof add value to the sale price of our home?
Comments (3)We bought out house last year and the surveyor said the slate roof would need replacing fairly soon. We got quotes and went back to the vendor and asked him to meet us halfway which he agreed to do and the price was reduced, as was the stamp duty of course. We had the roof replaced four months after we moved in. We were in a position to fund works on the property and had we not been, we might not have bought this house. Having said that, we love it here and have invested heavily in the garden this year. There's nothing major that needs doing other than what we want to do to make it "ours" so we're happy. But I'd recommend having the roof done, especially if you're going to be there for a while yet. Angie...See MoreNew Bathroom Project with Waterproof Panels
Comments (15)Also worth noting that the preparatory work required to enable a first class finish can be extensive. Essentially the walls need to be flat, true & square. This is in fact where most of the work comes in to it. Tilling requires far less prep work ordinarily. However, it all depends on the finish you hope to achieve and the complexity of the design. Top Tip! If your installer is able to butt & scribe a joint the full height of these panels you know you have a real professional at hand. This will open up design possibilities without having to use unsightly cover/jointing strips which is the whole idea behind Nuance panels as opposed to similar products from other wall panel manufacturers....See MoreMurals by Wallworx
