What colour curtains?

Struggling to decide on curtain colour for my front room. The room has recently restored parquet flooring and very light grey walls. It doesn't get a lot of light. (Ignore the sofa colour, they are being removed)

Any advice would be most welcome!

Not sure...need to save up for them! Will get the curtains first then sofas to match. I think I need something bright for both though as the room doesn't get a lot of light?

Hello, If I was you I would pick some light colour. With the grey you have you could get curtain in yellow, light blue, dusty pink. Why not mix and match colours? If you have some decoration or ornaments in your favourite colours, you could get your curtain in the same one. Hi there, As others suggest, what about mustard? This picture shows blue walls and a pop of yellow for the chair and it really makes the room sing. Alternatively, why not run with your idea of a soft grey? This picture pulls together lots of colours you've already got going on - the red in your sofa will work well. You could always layer Roman blinds and curtains together as pictured to soften the overall effect. Best of luck with your project, Zoe

Hi, I would go for curtains in the colour of the walls. Perhaps with a ton-sur-ton (almost same colour) pattern in them. And then paint the wall behind the bed in a dark blue. (Sorry for the sloppy mockup, I was in a hurry)

Fair enough! If it's dark then I'd go fairly light on the curtains. A pale green would look nice with the floor and walls and then you could get a sofa in a grey a shade or 2 darker than the walls and introduce another colour for cushions etc. Duck egg is also pretty much a neutral colour so would work. Or stick to the same shade as the walls or one darker. Perhaps think about getting a large mirror to bounce more light. Is that an extending curtain pole as it could go a little wider so as not to block light with the curtains?
