To paint or not to paint is the question -fireplace wall!
Comments (10)I think from what you say that you will have an a light grey wall color from the high railing down, darker grey above the rail, and white on the ceiling? You would paint the fireplace surround the light grey color (Cornforth white) but paint the remainder of that wall darker grey (so below the rail as well), with white built-in cupboards on each side...is this correct? If so, it seems there would be a "stripe" of the darker grey around the room on the upper wall, not sure how this would look (a photoshop mock up would help, but I don't have that skill). I like the Cornworth color and think it looks great with white. I would use only the two colors - white for the trim/rail, the fireplace surround, and the ceiling, and light grey for the rest of the walls....See MoreFireplace wall...
Comments (19)Yes, or they are in showrooms/photo shoots and not for actual use - you do have to have a hearth/nonflammable stand of a certain length an depth for it to sit on, but not sure if this is just if you have potentially combustible flooring. Might be ok with a tile floor - must google it!...See MoreDesign Dilemma - bedrooms in our bedroom
Comments (3)Good morning, It may be worth measuring the room and uploading a plan, so that Houzz designers can properly assess the room and provide an accurate layout for you. Get some measurements of walls, windows and doors, as well as the ceiling height....See MoreFireplace wall colour
Comments (1)Do you have pictures of the rest of the room including furniture? Wall colours need to reflect what you already have in the room. What style of decor do you like? I can see a tiny bit of a cream wall so it will have to go with that? My first thought is green. Overtly Olive by Dulux is nice and Laura Ashley do lots of greens in their range. Lovely paint to use too....See MoreV.I.P Walls Interior Specialist
