Do you match your doors to your kitchen??

I've recently ordered a new kitchen in a grey oak horizontal grain with white worktop and ends, but I am also in the process of getting new doors for the whole house. I was originally going to get oak doors, but I am worried about these clashing with my grey units? The kitchen will have two of the oak glazed doors and a French door so the doors feature quite prominently in the room. Should I go for white doors instead or do you not think this would be an issue? I would hate to ruin the whole look of the kitchen by choosing oak doors!

I have a tall larder unit which is priceless and my cupboards reach back into the corners (and it's in these that I store my rarely used crockery.) Comments (52)I used to allow my Burmese anywhere and the wake up 'boofs' - cat talk for running up the bed and patting me on my face to wake me to feed them - were lovely. Then I started showing and breeding & got more cats. I'd wake to find myself on the edge of the bed while they sprawled out over 7/8ths of it! Now they all sleep in the kitchen, but kittens are due next month and will be born in my bedroom. Comments (6)My lounge has the same overall look with similar colours to the rest of the house. Different accents are more prominent in different rooms. The same grey is used on the walls in the whole house except the kitchen and kids bedrooms. This was more because of practicality as we renovated the whole house and needed to paint the entire thing at the same time!...See More

7 years agothinking of it, I think I will also be faced with similar issue, I'm thinking of oak Doors but the kitchen units will be a Cashmere, so in-between a grey and cream with driftwood coloured worktop, would it be better to introduce something like a oak coloured workbench to keep the flow of colours running?
also, with oak Doors, will you be going for oak frames or white?
below is a rough sketch of how the kitchen will look, it will feature a set of French doors and a single door so again, make a prominent appearance.
