POLL: How often do you eat out in the week?

It's a bit of a luxury, but these days there's plenty of options for all budgets and tastes when it comes to going out to eat! I love a meal out, but as somebody with no children or other people than myself to look after, I realise this in itself is a bit of luxury and why I can go out!

But what about the rest of you, where do you stand on meals out, and if you do, how often?

It varies from week to week and month to month, at the moment I'd say around 2, but like you Tom I don't have anyone to look after! Would takeaways be their own subcategory!? The expense of eating out but within the comfort of your own home. It's interesting how many variables come into play with this - I am curious to know how it fluctuates/changes for other Houzzers!

Unfortunately, MRSA is all over, not just lurking in hospitals anymore. My nephew contracted it when he was about 18 months old. The doctors had strict guidelines to follow for prevention of further outbreaks for both him, and the entire family. My sister was told that everyone, not just families that are dealing with MRSA, should wash towels after every use with bleach as a means to kill any of the germs. bTW, my sister has always kept a spotless home, so it wasn't like this is a home with full of excessive germs.

At least daily here. I changed to washable cloths (flannels) specifically so I could do this: it's very expensive to change a store bought cloth every day. I also change the tea towel and kitchen hand towel daily. They absolutely need it as well. The tea towel gets soaked several times/day. It does depend on how large the household is and how much time is spent in the house though. If it's a single person or couple who both work outside the home, eat dinner out a lot etc, a weekly change is no big deal. I'm at home every day, with friends and family passing through all the time, so the kitchen is very heavily used.

We used to have friends over at least once a month but that has dwindled lately. I have to say though it is hard work with the cleaning and cooking and I normally spend hours choosing a menu whereby most of the food can be prepared in advance so I'm only in the kitchen for a few minutes. It also costs a fortune, there is always that worry that you'll run out of drink so we buy enough to stock a pub! Part of me thinks it's easier to go out for dinner to avoid the hassle but it is nice to be in your home so you can properly relax, talk as loudly as you want, play music etc and not rush to get on a train or something home

Remember that if the plant seems to be drooping it doesn't always mean it's thirsty. it may be over watered. In which case just lift it out of its saucer and leave it to dry out. I had a problem there where my husband was also watering the plants without my realising it. More importantly though if your plants keep dying they likely aren't getting enough light.

2 is definitely a fair number and I'm guilty of at least that! How often you order takeaways however might be another question - something to pose to the community I'd say ;)

Do not really eat out, takeaways are my biggest downfall at least once a week sometimes twice.

This is how I socialise, around food. It's probably not quite once a weeks but it's close to that.
