Remodelling kitchen - where is it from?
Comments (6)It looks to me like a beech 5 piece shaker style door. Our supplier no longer offers beech doors as standard off the shelf as they are no longer sought after (handleless, gloss and super matt seem to be most popular for our area) but they are available Made to Order. So yes you can get them. You just need to find a local supplier. I doubt you’ll get to see a sample if they’re not standard stock so it might be a case of chancing it for a close up on colour but the design in beech is available, as are all end panels....See Morehelp remodel layout of kitchen with awkward angles
Comments (6)I like your idea! It would be nice to increase the living room size, unfortunately the dead end corridor/new ktichen area is to narrow to fit in a whole kitchen, without feeling too small. I am on the other hand considering moving the "L" wall closer to the entrance as, but as you drawed, maybe it would be nicer to just remove it? Except, it would be nice to have a sence of an entrance, and not just "walking straight into" the livingroom, or what do you think?...See MoreKitchen, dining room and Utility remodelling
Comments (1)You'll need a builder to remove the wall, and install a steel beam if the wall is load bearing. They will also be able to bring the utility up to building regs standard which will probably mean external wall insulation if you don't want to lose any floor space....See MoreKitchen remodel
Comments (5)As you say it depends on how much money you want to spend, but with bespoke size cabinets and doors, they don't have to be overly expensive because they're only used where a standard size unit isn't suitable for what ever reason, so a design might only have 1 or 2 bespoke units. Without knowing the dimensions of the room its a bit difficult to work out but you can get freestanding fridge freezers only 500mm wide, is there room behind the door for this? if so then I can see how to increase your worktop space. If not is there room for something like a 300 or 400 wide larder so have more storage. I'd also have a look at what i presume is your boiler cupboard, does the boiler go all the way down to your worktop, could any pipework be boxed in and then have a cupboard just for the boiler above the worktop. Possibly change just the wall units and have taller 900 ones for more storage. The belfast sink base could be a lot better designed as its this thats making the washing machine so tight, it only needs to be a 600 belfast base and you could have a tray space on one side and a winerack on the other and more room for the washing machine (why are the doors the wrong way round so the handles are at the bottom of the doors?)...See MoreOTM Designs & Remodeling Inc.
