Comments (16)Some (I'm guessing most) American style fridge freezers need extra space for their door swing, but yes, inbuilt ones take up 2 x 60 cm, that's probably 20 cm more. But you will have more space inside the fridge/freezer too. American style ones are big lumps, but offer less space inside (I have one). If you can, look for a fridge that has a fresh zone (I don't know the technical term, differs from brand to brand), keeps your meat and veggies fresh for longer. Anyway, it's something to consider. Comments (4)Hi. There are loads of inspirational images on Houzz. I would start by piling through the kitchen pics and adding to an idea book anything you like. I am sure on a quick analysis of the idea-book afterwards it will become apparent the look/style you like and if integrated or American style FF are seen in those particular photos/kitchens :) Ultimately I think it depends on the look you're going for and how the space will work for you. I hope it helps...See MoreKitchen refurb.....Free standing American Fridge/Freezer

Comments (6)The only downside with a verandah is if you store furniture under it to sit on and the rain aims in the wrong direction it will get wet. We originally had a verandah all the way across the back of our house but it was subject to catching the rain plus it had a hardwood floor so the two didn't mix. We ended up closing it all in with bi-fold doors across so we could open in the heat. In your image it shows a standard floor so i would definitely go for it. It also offers shelter when walking into the house when you are wet....See More- 7 years ago
