Larder cupboard colour

We have had a sage green kitchen installed with black granite worktops. It is a similar colour to farrow and ball French gray. However we can't decide on the colour for a stand alone larder cupboard. We want something contrasting and we're thinking about mole's breath. We would then probably paint our boiler cupboard in this too. Would love to hear people's opinions ok this please.

Hello, it's difficult to visualise without photos, also what colour are your walls and floors?

Our flooring is a grey slate which varies in shades. The walls are a Matt white.

Love the part of the breakfast station that I can see, but would prefer a little more imagination below the counter rather than standard cupboards and draws, maybe something that pulls out? And I will never understand why people have so many shallow drawers in their kitchen, much prefer to hang or deep drawer as usually find shallow drawers no use for anything but cutlery!

Some (I'm guessing most) American style fridge freezers need extra space for their door swing, but yes, inbuilt ones take up 2 x 60 cm, that's probably 20 cm more. But you will have more space inside the fridge/freezer too. American style ones are big lumps, but offer less space inside (I have one). If you can, look for a fridge that has a fresh zone (I don't know the technical term, differs from brand to brand), keeps your meat and veggies fresh for longer. Anyway, it's something to consider. Choices, choices :-)

Reduced depth larder units

If you don’t mind internal drawers (where you have to open the cupboard door then pull out a drawer) you can buy reduced depth internal drawers in various places, which could be retrofitted to the shallow cupboard. For example here: https://www.drawerboxes.co.uk/made-to-measure-drawers-c102x3229830 That’s what I would do. Remember shelves are better for above around shoulder height anyway.
