What tiles colour shall I put in this kitchen?
Comments (2)Why don't you paint cupboards in a pale grey and then have either white or a darker grey metro tile. Alternatively you could paint tiles. I have just used graphite tile paint on my 1950s red tiled windowsills and was a bit nervous at first but they look great and I am gradually working my way round whole house. Only needs one coat, no undercoat, just wash tiles with sugar soap or similar to make sure they are clean and grease free first. Also touch dry in 20 mins...See MoreMy newly painted kitchen is disappointing
Comments (15)Yes but don't go made on your blind. If having wood keep it simple . Maybe a soft green bind or what about a small pelmet.? Don't block out any natural light.. It makes it feel light airy and spacious... Really you have it all. It's just basically bringing it all together... Little touches of your green maybe a few candle glasses on your window cil, which will catch the light. Small plants.. So times a kitchen can look different on the work tops if you move appliances around.. But only do that if it works for you..!! The wall that I suggested to lighten up.. Maybe the mirror in the middle or maybe a couple of prints with the greens, ( these don't need to be expensive) etc colour blended in ... With a light background... Check out Pintrest.. They have ideas that just might help you to tie it in together.. Good luck and some more photos when done please... My kitchen has green.. It's lovely and bright in the morning..,feels refreshing... Plus with my cabinets being white, I can change my colours in between... When I need the change.. Good luck...See MoreHELP!!! Kitchen extension - what colour floor tiles??
Comments (25)Hi Jemma, I agree with option 1 from your choices, would definitely work:-) but just to throw a cat in amongst the pigeons... Have you considered rubber flooring at all? Some excellent options available now, clean lines, you can choose to have it look like what it is, or mimic tiles or timber. Gives the best of both worlds as looks good & much softer under foot - just a thought :-)...See MoreKitchen wall tiles that aren't metro tiles
Comments (10)Hi Gemma, how about something like this? Blue and White Roses Patterned Tile Which would give you a pattern, but not be overpowering. Or maybe some of these scattered among plain tiles to break up the white? Blue Hydrangea Ceramic Wall Tile (dozens of other designs at https://www.floraltiles.co.uk/shop/) We also have some tiles ideas blogs with tile pattern examples, including patchwork patterns, which might help you in your research: Tiles Ideas Blog All the best with it!
