Comments (22)Hi Tidesreach, If you wanted to change the sofa then the best way would be to use a second hand items from free cycle or eBay. You will be surprised what you can get with a bit of research. Failing that, you need to tie the sofa's into your over all design. Lighten the ceiling with a coat of white and the walls with a colour to compliment the sofas as best you can. Definitely de-clutter and remove anything too dated. So i am firmly in the no paint camp....I think I read a suggestion to see if you can lighten the feel by first changing the wall color in the side cupboards and see if changing the glass to plate glass - so agree!
