It's not so much that it's difficult, it's a bit time consuming as you have to have enough of the wood ( spare drawer fronts ) to make a cupboard door with. In fact you probably will need extra wood that matches as you need a frame for the door, if not for that but definitely for inside to deck out the new cupboard. Same applies to the smaller one. Thankfully it's raw pine, so it's very easily available. You will of course have a bit of extra wood from the hole that you cut for the sink, so the carpenter may be able to utilise that for the door! It also has to be finished with something waterproof by the way!

Thanks for the mention Minnie101. Wall units can be useful for extra storage - remember you can alter depth as well as height -so lots of options - depends on your height and others who use the kitchen - and also how much storage you need - sometimes a raised drainer shelf can release worktop space and be worth considering if worktop space is at a premium ( but only if you are tall enough to use it safely !)

Another suggestion for you......adhesive vinyl roll! Specifically, that made by DC Fix. We used a textured metallic finish inside a kitchen cabinet as part of it’s transformation into a bar cabinet. I found it easy to use and very forgiving for repositioning etc. We bought ours from vinyl warehouse but lots of places sell it. If you check out the DC Fix website they have it on bathroom sinks, kitchen cabinets, worktops etc. I’m not sure if they have different levels of quality but I’m sure you could check easily. I just scrubbed an off-cut of ours with the rough side of a bathroom sponge and it didn’t scuff it. I'm looking for a storage unit to fit under the bathroom sink. It's a semi-pedestal basin hung from the wall. All the undesink cabinets I can find have a semicircle cut out on each shelf, suitable for a full pedestal sink. I'm looking for something that has a cut out for the top shelf only, and a full shelf on the bottom to maximise storage space (I'm not even sure if this sort of furniture is something that exists!). I'm just posting here on the off chance that anyone has come across something like this?! Thank you so much.
