This kitchen is lovely. What type of wood is this on the cabinets and where are the chairs at the dining space from?

The wood is Neopolitan Bamboo from Plyboo.

Hi Isidora, thanks for your comment! I put in a Clematis Frida where the trellis meets the fence, and went back later to do bulbs (mixture of Alliums, tulips and camassia). I will have to try and get a photo in the spring

Hi there, It's a lovely space and I am sure there are lots of options as mentioned already by Karen above. How would you like to use the island? Is it more for the aesthetic or do you want it for people to sit / perch at? Islands tend to lose a lot of storage if you want people to be able to sit at them, which necessitates the need for more wall cabinets etc but if you can use the 'back side' for more occasional items then the wall restrictions may be less of an issue. What sort of style are you thinking of going for? Open shelves can look fabulous and a great way of storing items that are used day in, day out. They can also be very budget friendly in comparison to wall cabinets. Have you considered banquette seating for the table, opposed to using all chairs? It tends to be quite space saving and quite versatile too. Best wishes Claire

Hi, this is going to be a great space! I really like your theme of brown/mustard/khaki, it's going to be so warm and contemporary. What about painting the wall with the two windows in your living space a rich ochre/mustard and repeating it on the opposite wall. There isn't a great expanse here as you have the walkway to the kitchen but it will reflect beautifully. With those big glass doors and roof light you can afford to go darker. The current mustard wall in the dining area, you could go for a fun, bold wallpaper with complimentary colours. It'll all tie in effectively but you'll have defined areas. Keep the remaining walls as they are and add accessories to bring the whole extension together. Hi! I think to bring the property into this modern era knocking the wall out is a great idea. You could bring the dining room over the area where the wall is so it's a big more spacious. Your TV can go above your fireplace if possible. If you want to create some separation you can opt for corner sofa that would sit behind the dining table and also bend round d opposite the TV. On your floor plan there seems to be a space in the kitchen opposite the dining which could make a great big pantry and give you more cupboard space I'm your kitchen area, or if you work from home it could also serve as an office nook. The possibilities are endless!
