Kitchen Cabinets colour scheme
Comments (9)Hi, my first thought was to agree with Jenny Carter as I quite like the green that you have already and then you could just paint the walls instead and wouldnt have to worry about the finish or type of paint to use on the cupboards. Also think as mentioned by ianthy you could add in some extra lighting as in particular under your cabinets where your sink is looks quite dark on the photos so you could easily add in some undercabinet lighting which is a popular option for many of our customers as is easy to install. We did a blog post a while ago now on kitchen lighting which might be of help if you are interested in changing or adding in any accent lighting Kitchen Lighting Blog but if you do need any help with any lighting then please feel free to contact us on 0161 737 7333 or send us an email to info@thebulbco.com . Let us know what you decide on though and add some more pics as it progresses!...See Morekitchen cabinet colour
Comments (4)Hi Fin, looking at paint colours online is really a waste of time. Firstly everyone's monitor shows up a different shade and you are also relying on the photo that was taken of the colour to be accurate in the first place. Take a sample of the countertop to a Paint supplier. Valspar at B&Q is very accurate with the colour cards. Pick some cards out that you think will go well with counter top. I would then personally take them home and lay them out in the light that you have in your kitchen before buying a sample pot, painting an A4 piece of paper and hanging it to see what you think. You need a larger span of the paint to get a good overall perspective of what it will look like. Good luck....See MoreAdvice on kitchen cabinet colours
Comments (9)The greys I had chosen ( before trying a sample) was farrow and ball cornforth white for the kitchen and fb purbeck stone for the open dining room cupboards. I've had over £35 of samples and have now decided on farrow and ball All White for the kitchen and Matt Dakkar ( it's a grey pale olive) for the floor to ceiling dining room cupboards which will have oak running through them . I'll try to put the kitchen design photos on . Minnie 101, the floor is being laid next week , it's semi honed forest limestone . The kitchen is west facing with a small window , the grey looked too drab . The dining room is south facing and gets the sun, there are steps down into the kitchen and the sun doesn't really reach it . I was thinking of having a mirror splash back under the hob hood as this will face the small window and reflect some light back ? ive seen some lovely white cottage/country kitchens on here and hope to pinch some ideas. I only have till the end of next week to decide. I've really had far too long to make a choice as I've changed my mind so many times and have gone back to my original choice! I will put photos on of the floor in progress next week ....See MoreNorth facing kitchen cabinet colour dilemma
Comments (9)I'm not doing walls until kitchen in. also waiting a while to replace our table with a slightly bigger one. I've always wanted a decent table. only 3 of us so maybe will use end of it for serving up. in the pics the island looks clear and usable. the reality is it gets covered with all sorts. Im thinking of a mobile unit as could put it against chimney breast some of time. It's a developing idea. I'm reluctant to finalise until we live with the kitchen for a while. so much to think about and I'm an over thinker!...See MoreR. O Surfaces
