Breccia ? Please send an image . My area has very limited choice of marble . Lots of Emeperador light & dark available . Height of my bath is 9' 4" . I have one ceiling height window , width 22" , next to basin counter. I prefer full size mirror for basin counter. Then one more mirror from floor to ceiling ,width 30" opposite the basin counter. Basin is undercounter , white color. Please suggest .

Lol, Jesse, I had to study that photo AVSinteriors posted forever to figure out what you meant about the tile direction but after I did I do see what you mean. I never thought of it that way but logic states the water would run off the vertical lengths of grout far more successfully than it will the horizontal! I went in the current family bathroom and had a look at the tiling - very interesting. And a plan changer. I'm glad we hadn't gone too far in planning the shower area yet. Well spotted you on that tile, this is the first time I've heard anyone mention that! I love the inset teak mat-floor for the shower area of that wetroom, too.

Ok, been a while but we have (slowly) but doing some things. 1) New kitchen shelves and new wall mounted spice rack (ikea picture shelves), 2) New white unit at the back of kitchen (with new coffee machine on it) 3) Mirror on the wall about white unit 4) Two new more modern ceiling flights to replace the chandeliers 5) Painted the entire room myself, except the ceiling as you can see. I simply don't have a ladder tall enough to get up there as the ceilings are so high. 6) New PVC table cloth to stop my 8 month old ruining the wooden table. 7) To the left of the new white unit, got rid of wine fridge (did shed a tear) and bought a new standard fridge to help with the load of the other fridge - so we now have a fridge for veggies / fruit and my sons food and one for meat / drinks/ cheese etc The result, i think, is a much nicer, lighter and spacious room and we've managed to create a hell of a lot more cupboard and fridge space for ourselves which was much needed. I hated the old chandeliers and i'm delighted with the new lights we chose. I'll do some better photos soon but wanted to update this. Thanks to all who made comments and suggested things ! (of course all the entire apartment is 100% High CRI Dimmable LED Lights (my own company). Chris

I think the kitchen layout is great, however instead of a traditional hob on the island, I would personally opt for an induction hob/cooktop. That way you won't have to fear that your children will accidentally touch it and burn themselves (read how induction cooktops work). It's also completely flat unlike traditional hobs, so when you are looking at the kitchen from different angles, you won't even notice it, and when you do, it's just nicer, it's just more modern and elegant. I've also seen induction cooktops designed for islands, instead of the traditional 2x2 arranged in a square, you can find one that is rectangular, all 4 circles in a single line, and I think those look great. Also they have some that have built-in ventilation (that goes into the island), so you won't need a huge exhaust hood above the island in the middle of the kitchen. Also I've noticed the design on the sink, and I personally think that that style of sink takes up a lot of space without providing too much function (I've had it in my previous home). I would 100% swap it for a double sink, it takes the same amount of space, but it's so much more useful and convenient.
