Choosing internal door furniture - any tips?
Comments (11)It's better to use the same everywhere but you could also have one type downstairs and another one upstairs for instance. as long as you cannot see 2 different handles at the same time, it works. I would choose the finish depending on what you have around for cupboard, lighting,... and stick to it (if your cupboard handles are polished brass go for polished brass everywhere). One thing to look for is to get sprung handles so it is not only the lock getting your handle back up. I use Hafele for my ironmongery and I have never been disappointed....See Moresliding doors & furniture placement
Comments (15)Can you post a floor plan - a rough drawing would do - so we can get an idea of how the room works? I want desperately to say "turn the chair round so it faces the fireplace and door/window" but perhaps there's a reason why the chair has to be in the middle of the room facing a wall? I feel all items in the room are fighting against each other instead of working in harmony. If you have a sofa, where is it - or is that something you are waiting to buy once you've worked out how to make the room work? What is the furniture peeking out on the left in the third photo and why is it there where my logic says should be where the sofa goes? Why is the rug behind the chair? It all seems a bit plonked and that if it were all moved slightly, it might be brilliant. A floor plan would really help!...See MoreMatching the wooden flooring and doors with new furniture
Comments (3)Hi there, we have a boards that will be very similar to the colour of the doors. It would be our Pyrenees 190mm or our Brushed 125mm. If you could email us more pictures of the door we would be able to see if we can match it closer. If you have any queries at all you can give us a call us on 0141 887 5698 or drop us an email at info@floormonster.co.uk. Kind Regards, Floor Monster Team...See MoreDoor furniture help please???
