Comments (3)Personally if it was my room Sophie I would choose white over taupe for the 3 other walls. I like the simplicity of white and then you can add art or a mirror on the wall to bring in more colour and interest. You could then bring in the taupe with soft furnishing highlights like cushions on the bed and a throw rug. What flooring is in the room are you keeping the floorboard I can see in the photo? This can also change the warmth of the room.This is a bedroom I decorated for a client a few years ago. The furniture, wall colour, blinds and lamp bases were all my client's existing items. We added the custom made geometric lampshades, white bedding, quilted taupe throw and large cushions and custom made smaller cushions that later on had the clients initials embroidered. Comments (85)It looks great, I'm glad you and your daughter are so pleased and she has lots of room for friends over, playing etc. It can also be easily and cheaply adapted as she grows if she wants. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is that if not already your daughter may soon also want the desk to double up as a dressing table and therefore I think a mirror was a good idea but the memo board (which looks great) can always be moved as and when needed. (I thought i'd posted a comment on that previously but obviously not!). I might also add a desk light there for working during winter months. Consider painting ceiling and walls in different colour than white - consult with her. 4 years agoThe wardrobes are a very traditional colour, so any other element which is also perceived as traditional may look a little 'staid'. I would consider a palette like this. Paint and Paper library Desert Rose is a lovely dirty pink beige which looks great with stronger teracotta accents and cleaner pinks. It would work with the purple colour of the wardrobe. Anything taupe would go flooring wise, just not orangey oak or pine.
