Can you tell us the green cabinet color and where the light over the dining room table came from? Beautiful job!!

Hi there, the light is from Naomi Paul (https://www.naomipaul.co.uk/). I don't know about the cabinet colour, you can try to ask to the interior designer (http://caveinteriors.com/)

Hi Getty Welty What a shame about the worktop but I think it's almost a blessing in disguise. Once you have settled on the worktop my advice would be to take samples of the cupboards & worktop to a tile shop and look at them altogether. You really need to see a large tile together with the other samples to appreciate the overall look. A 10 x 10 sample is only a representation of the whole tile and the colour changes on a larger scale. We always advise our customers to do that if possible as its really important to make sure the overall tones work well together. Good luck with it all Karen

LED strips for low level cupboard/island plinths have their merits in showcasing themselves, however aren't necessary if the space already houses good lighting from overhead lights or natural lighting. However, using under cabinet lighting underneath wall units works particularly well when the main lighting isn't required and the occupants wish to have a dimmer atmosphere. They can also serve the purpose of providing necessary light for worktops when being used for cooking etc. www.pwjarchitects.com

How did you resolve the kitchen wall lighting in the end?? I would be really interested to know what you did and whether you are happy with the result, as I am in the process of purchasing a house with exactly the same set up on the wall where the hob is, and am wondering how best to create ambient/task lighting over that worktop.

It’s nice especially in the winter months to have a background light left on in the kitchen. I have under cabinet wall lighting on only 2 long wall display units as they’re the only wall units I have as most of my storage is in a tall bank of units. I’m sure mine are self adhesive and definitely work from a small transformer. Photo below shows a close up of them But you can’t actually see that bit
