I love the garage door, what product is that? And does it match the siding exactly?

Hi Gillian,

I believe the garage door was actually a cedar wood plank door that came as raw wood.

The wood siding is also cedar.

All of the wood was stained together at the same time to match eachother.

There are a few manufacturers who supply raw wood doors.

Thank you all very much for the ideas - very helpful. I'm also thinking of putting an extra parking space to the left of the garage - dark grey granite chippings with a granite sett path leading to the front door, so a more neutral colour than the blues and reds I was originally thinking off would work well I think - thanks again.

Hi, I actually think either a dark Grey or a bright Red work best with the sandstone colour of the render.A lighter grey or a sagey green also work well if you're not in to the boldYou can also buy a product called Dyebrick to paint on the bricks ( it's not paint, it stains ), This will make the house stand out further from the others especially if you go for the darker shades like Charcoal. Hi we changed our front door 2 years ago to Anthracite. We only got around to painting our white garage door last summer. Whilst it is not unusual to have your front and garage door different colours it does look more balanced having them the same colour. I don't have a before photo but my after pic. Also I don't notice the dirt as much.

We kept our entry door into the garage and l don’t regret it. I store spare items in there so it’s easy access. No way would l want to walk outside to gain entry into the garage but it depends on how you use it.
