help with pictures wall :(

Hi all

I have now almost finished the redecoration of our dining room (just in time for Christmas with our families ... oh wait, nobody can come anymore 🤦‍♀️)

I am struggling to organise how to hang out frames. I tried to get all of them in shades of gold, but I cannot find an arrangement that I find great.

I have a few smaller frames and one very large.
Any suggestions ? Happy to separate them if needed.

I think the large one would look better on its own. The smaller gold framed ones could either be organised in a row like the first pic below, or a random jumble of sizes to create a gallery wall. Pinterest has some great ideas for layouts.

I would not put the largest piece in the middle, but either more to the right or the left side and arrange the other pieces so that it feels balanced.

I love all the art you have chosen for this room....and the bit of yellow in them totally work. I was nervous about the size of a few, so grouping is a good idea. I think the largest one can work alone and the other two can maybe stack?

I have to say, I'm leaning towards option 1. As I may have mentioned in the past, I suspect the trend for grey and anthracite windows/doors/sofitts etc will end sooner or later and what folks will find is they're left with external features that date a house but would be expensive to fix. And whilst I like the look of the grey now, I also remember liking the dark wood windows in the late 80s at the time, but now think they date a property. :-/ (sorry to offend anyone who may have them).

Living room/dining room help. It's such an awkward space. We have a dining area but the wall separating it is load bearing and been removed. The back of the living room is the play room and other half of the living is a typical living room.How can we use this space more practical. I need to close off the open dining room so the kids toys stay out of it without making the tiny 6ft space feel enclosed.

Played around with similar shapes as your pieces (I think) and this feels the most balanced to me. But that might be personal. Don't know if the sizes correspond, so whether the two smaller portrait pieces will be just as tall together as the large piece, but I'd keep the space between those in the centre of the large piece. The white space is also important...

Mark out an area of floor space the same size as the wall that the frames are to be hung from. Mark out the position of nearby furniture that reduces the void wall space ( we used shoes for this bit). Then experiment by laying your frames on the floor in different arrangements then take photos from an elevated position so you have some ideas (standing on dining room table for us). We then spent a day or two mulling over the photos of our designs. Very happy with our final choice and no bodge ups in the positioning!
