Toddle boys room colour

Hi,
I'm trying to decide on colours for our toddler boys room, the room will be painted wimbourne white with wimbourne white wardrobes as it's a new build and we are looking for a bluey/greeny colour like oval room blue or de Jones by farrow and ball but can't decide.
Any advice appreciated and any advice on whether to do the whole room or just a feature wall?

Hi,

Do you already have bedding? And what will go on the floor? I think those choices could give you a guideline for the wall colour. Also, if you can't choose between two, invest in tester pots and try them out in the room. That might make it clearer.

You could paint the bottom half of all the walls in the darker colour. You could even paint the wardrobe in the darker colour, 'halfway' up, so it blends in with the wall. Or do a fun but simple mural. Or, if you want to do an accent wall, I would probably do the short wall at the back.

Avoid a very pale, light blue as this will look cold. Maybe a rich blue with a hint of green or red would work or go all out as per the image from tumblr attached. The floor looks very light anyway so could look great and choose light coloured bedding (or does he want that blue too?!) Go for a roller blind or shutters on the window so as not to cancel out any daylight. Take a picture of the whole room and play around with the Dulux visualiser app so you can see what looks best (takes a few attempts to get it working so good luck!)

No probs,,, it will come on at £749 then it will come on again at £499. I've managed to get everything I've needed for half price, has took a bit of time but everything just rotates on the half price sale. Also, have a look and see if there's a dwell near you as they offer lots of ex display in the store, I got a side unit for a quarter of the price and not a mark on it. AND,,, some of the things you see on dwell are by kare design, amazon and Wayfair both stock kare design at a price decreases from dwells prices, like their artwork was £399 and I got it for £75 from Wayfair, slightly smaller but only £79. The first option seems to work better when you add furniture in? Given they'll be starting secondary school soon'ish I don't know whether a wardrobe and chest of drawers is a better option for their uniform? You can also use the bottom of the wardrobe for shoes, sports equipment etc and I'd pick a colour that blends into the wall. I personally wouldn't do 2 feature walls however use colour blocking to zone each of their spaces. Try and find a blue and yellow that work together and add a couple more complementary shades. I've added a couple of pics but there are loads online. You could do a geometric shape or border etc. Having their duvet in their colours may be an idea too. I would probably go for beanbags for seating which can go at the side of the bed when not in use. Is their room under the bed for baskets for toys? Maybe also shelves over the bedside table?

Thank you, I'm leaning towards oval room blue. We haven't got bed linen or blinds,ivht fittings yet so pretty much a blank canvas to work with.

I love both colours but not sure I’d use either for all walls in a toddlers room. I’d probably just do an accent wall or ideas as Carolina suggested. I found this really cute decal (I would probably use the stars without the names or buy extra personally though to have them dotted around) which would work with either colour. Do you have testers and have tried them in the room? What colour is the carpet?

I would get bed linen first and choose a wall colour based on that and on what's going on the floor.
