Kitchen colours advice please!

Hi All

In the middle of painting our kitchen cabinets. Most will be this green colour with some in white. We will also be updating the worktop to a white/marble style and getting the floor changed to a pale wood LVT. What I'm not sure about is what colour to go for with the walls and tiles - I'm planning to try and paint the tiles.

I was thinking a dusky pink for the walls, but not sure what to go for with the tiles? I think white might be too white with the white cupboards and updated worktops? Anyone good with colours and have any suggestions? Thank you!

It’s hard to suggest because the fascias that look as though they’ve been painted show up as blue not green on my screen.

I would post more photos if you can. Colour is such a personal thing, fashion and trends can play a big part, and that is something that I personally find tricky. Teal in all its forms is very trendy at the moment and all over insta it is teamed with pink. I would try it with more neutral walls first as you can see from these images that the floor colour itself provides quite a contrast with the unit colour.

hi all, update is I have finally found a photo of someones stairs done in Brintons timorous beastie yellow Ruskin butterfly and its made me decide we are definitely 100% going for this as I love it (see attached pics) on stairs and landing... Floor in hall will be oak herringbone parquet, just wall colour to decide and we have bought new tall skirting so colour to paint this also? i have attcahed apic of the hall currently so you can see our front door with stain glass.. As Ive mentioned before the banister and spindles will be replaces with square spindles with an oak top banister and oak end cap - similar to this houzz pic ... So just to deicide on wall colour and new skirting colour... I really like f&b light blue in a hall with oak parquet but I don't feel this will go with the carpet... Kitchen and dining room will be one of the sage shades and lounge Wimborne white and downpipe...

I have similar colour combo kitchen and painted the walls in F&B Light Blue. Looks fab against the cream cabinets, giving a slight vintage feel.

I think a nice light grey to make the units stand out would work well. If you fancy a lighter, more blended look then go with the cream. As Branwhite says above, if it's a dark room, then grey will suck more light out.

Hi cj73. I agree with @minnie101 that the taupe sounds good but do check the colours before ordering. Sometimes two brown tones together look awful so get samples of both the grey and the taupe coloured tiles and lay them down on your wooden floor to see which looks best. Look at them in daylight and in artificial light. The tiles will need to be grouted so that is another colour decision you need to take. If you can get samples of the grout colours while you are considering the tiles it will be very useful at this stage to try a few options out. Good luck. Yasmin

Im not sure about the pink unless it’s the palest of pink. I think a simple off white will add cohesion and make everything fresh. I think the pink with tiling in another pattern or colour will just be one colour too many.
