Width of Mudroom Cubbies

Hi there! I love how wide these cubbies are. Can you tell me by any chance the size of these. We're trying to picture some we are designing! Thank you!

@embzop, I would keep the guest bedroom as plain and neutral as possible. And keep it decluttered to keep it inviting. @Tom Flannagan, I think bathrooms are just that one space in the house that is not attached to any other room style wise. When I walk into my future bathroom I want to be swept away from this world into another one of luxury and serenity! I don't care about styles and 'what should fit the house', the bathroom is my space and I will do with it what I like :) @milicaopica, I think there are great options when you have a 5m high ceiling! When you put in another 'floor' you can have extra storage, a hide away, extra sleeping space, perhaps a slide? The possibilities are almost limitless! @k11agl, I get your point. Possibly you could build a wardrobe against one of the sloping walls. But that of course depends on how much ground space the room will have left over and what you want to use the room for. I've got sort of the same problem next to my dormer windows, but I also have radiators up against two of the vertical walls. No wardrobe here :(. I think hallways are tricky too. They need to be functional yet inviting. Fortunately I have two; one tiled and the other one is going to have a parquet floor. So the first one will be the 'mudroom' where the kids can dump their stuff and coats and it will be made to be easily cleaned. The second, bigger one will be the 'nice' hall, with fancy wallpaper and nice furniture (telephone seat). Thinking about it I realise how lucky I am to be able to have two hallways with different functions ;)

Hi. Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up your living area I think a select piece of art would really make the room stand out, add interest and add a great talking point to the room.... Have been able to upload pics and make them stick now - Hooray. Having got all the info with regard future layout. I would say:- If you're thinking of having a downstairs loo / uitility area at some point, hang fire with the plumber and the placement of the toilet etc in the Hallway. If you place it there, you can't move the door, it will impede the layout of the kitchen. I think both the utility and the downstairs loo can be better placed, possibly at the back of the new kitchen, and the whole thing re-worked when an extension is done. However, I think it leads to a whole lot of dead space:- Or, preferably to do as first suggested above and then extend. In fact, i've sat with this on and off all day and am pretty much convinced having tried all sorts, that the layout with the utility and downstairs loo garden side is best. You could also do what Miinnie says with the storage under the stairs. You need the ideal layout for the kitchen, it's a big ticket item and needs very careful planning. It's grand to have plans, but doing little and often is sometimes not half as waiting until you can do it once and better.

You can't have the dining table and the kitchen adjacent to each other as 5 metres is not wide enough. Hence why I moved the plan around and the positions of things to give you more space. I don't like blocking the flow front to back by putting the Utility on the right immediately. Gaining more length will also help my type of layout as i mentioned earlier. I think you have to compromise on the snug or the utility / downstairs loo area, as the house isn't wide enough for both. Since you already have a lounge and a utility / downstairs loo will add more value, i'd go for the latter. I'd go for this type of layout at 5m extended . No snug..........you don't really need it. If you want all of the above accommodated, then you'd have to go out to around 7m. You may also find difficulty with the plumbing, so, even though I put the option of the utility and toilet on the left in my previous render, i'm not sure it would work. ( it's possible ). You would end up with something like this, but also bear in mind, that due to the depth of the extension you will need a sky lantern in the roof on the left as the snug would be dark without one.
