kitchen worktop burn - any suggestions to hide? or just replace?

My wife loves a candle, unfortunately missed blowing one out last night and ended up with a lovely hole in the laminate worktop (fortunate it was just the worktop).
Before I go buy a replacement worktop, I was just wondering if anyone had any inventive suggestions to hide this??
I’d originally thought a pop up socket or similar but there are fridges/freezers under the island so probably wouldn’t have the depth.
Any other thoughts? Thanks for any input.
