Bathroom - separate shower and bath?
Comments (18)Hi, I'd definitely keep your feature bath. This can be painted in a nice Fired Earth Eggshell finish. I can't comment on your basin or wc, as I can't see them and have no idea what condition they are in? I'd tile the floor, shower areas and window reveals. I'd suggest upstands (skirting tiles) around the rest of the bathroom, then you can add some nice colour to your bathroom your painted bath will be a lovely feature. Have a look at some of my photosets which may give you some inspiration. Having said all this, I think your budget is unrealistic. The most important component in your new bathroom is the person who undertakes the work and this will cost you money. Good luck with your project. Jeremy...See MoreBath in shower? Comments (16)If you set a 1700 length P shape shower bath horizontally infront of the window - but brought down the 200mm to clear the soil pipe - have a very slightly angled boxing at the rear of the bath ( so water hitting the tiled boxing flows into the bath ) you would have more standing room in the bath to use it as a shower too - not quite the two separate zones you are after - but more arm room than a standard bath shower ... Might be simpler to install too . If you stagger the basin and loo so there's more room in front of either, that would work better too in my opinion....See MorePlease help me with my tiny bathroom!
Comments (18)Any chance you have enough room outside the bath for a barn door? That would open up your floor plan greatly. I just got done installing pocket doors in my bath and office, huge space saver-but a lot of work. The barn door concept wont give you the air tight seal of a door but since ive put mine in, it is hardly ever used lol. If you can do either of those I would seriously consider moving the door closer to the tub and putting your vanity on the wall to the left. You will have a lot more storage, the layout will seem less hectic and if you are doing this for yourself (not planning on moving) you will enjoy it more. Comments (12)Hi You need to check re soil pipe - my opinion is that it is best to keep the WC as close to the soil pipe as possible to avoid unnecessary problems. You may want to opt for a free standing bath which would add glamour to the room - you can find various sizes (see link below just for an idea) https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/1650-x-750-luxury-modern-double-ended-curved-freestanding-bath Or Back to wall 1500x750 https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/orion-1500-x-750mm-small-back-to-wall-modern-square-bath?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqIDjyp7Z3gIVVOJ3Ch1BiQfcEAQYBCABEgLdzfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds An Offset bath may allow some more flexiblity in the room as the space is rather tight. I have done two sketches - and have specifically kept away from putting the bath under the window due to soil pipe. I have proposed that you open the door outwards or maybe consider changing to a folding door as per images below If you need any further advise my design practice can help you....See MoreNellie Vin
