50 cm depth cooker

Hi, we have a very small kitchen space...we need a freestanding gas cooker of only 50 cm depth...does anybody know if there is anywhere in the UK that does cookers of this depth.

I think you may struggle. You can get freestanding gas cookers 500mm wide but not deep. Most are 600 deep. Aren’t your base units 600 deep though that it will need to line up with?

Thanks...but units have been cut back and are only 500 deep.

Some really good comments above with helpful advice. Just to throw another idea into the mix. If you are worried that a mantle might be to 'traditional' for your home, there are always clever ways to put a more contemporary twist on a shaker kitchen. The picture above shows a kitchen we completed last year, that has traditional elements such as the T&G panels that we used to create a floating shelf that stretches the entire back run. This is hiding the extractor & ducting out, whilst also offering that option of using the shelf for recipe books or ornaments. The splashback was a book matched granite, again spanning the full width, giving the illusion of more space. Hope this helps/is useful in making your mind up as too which way to go. Do you think the door standing off about 30mm from the wall is due to your fitting being round rather than flat? Thinking if I got a flat bar rather than a round tube one, it might save me some space? Lol. Only I have the door handle on the fridge to take into consideration as well. :0/

Lofra do a gorgeous double oven mini range in 70cm other in gas or indiction hob. I know this as like you I was desperately searching for something of that size. In the end we jiggled the layout around and went with the same model but in the 90cm width. It's a beautifully made, very efficient range that looks incredibly good too. Hello! It very much depends on the overall look of your kitchen and the layout. If having the cupboard above the cooker is imperative to make the kitchen feel more cohesive then making sure that your integrated extractor has sufficient power to be effective - your kitchen supplier will be able to tell you what they supply for that. If you were to change to get rid of the cupboard and use a ceiling or wall mounted extractor then it will become a feacture in the space as it will contrast with the cupboards. Not to say that this is a bad thing, sometimes this can add interest to the space but again it depends on the overall layout and scheme. If you had some drawings of the kitchen it would be really helpful.

Do a google search for 'cookers in caravan' and you'll find 500mm deep appliances.
