Changing sofa tables

last year

I am looking to change my small light oak sofa tables (which have always reminded me of bedside tables). My lounge is more classical than contemporary & my sofa & chsirs are grey. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi. I think you need at least 3ft gap between the table and wall, more if it's an entrance/corridor etc. If you move the table towards the fire it obviously means moving the rug, sorry to state the obvious!, and I think you'd need 12-18 inches gap between the fire and rug for it to work. Maybe try moving it and then measure the gap the other side

If your going to stick with block paint I'd go for a pastel colour rather than white as none of the sofa is stark white so may make it look discoloured which it obviously isn't as its a new sofa but you know what I mean. I'd pick up the green personally. There's always the option of off white pain and pick up a colour from the sofa in your accessories (curtains, lamp, light shades etc)

Do you know how tall the armrests are? You want a table that's not much lower or taller. I think a round(ish) table suits well. I like Sonia's table and the whiskey barrel stool. But if you have the height of the armrests, we might be able to help you find some more options, if you like.

measurement wall on left to back of chair. centre of room =2 metres. 2 seater sofa would be where standing cardboard is and front of seat is cardboard on floor. wondering is this too tight. 2nd photo ID "sofa"more at an angle. Given that both spaces won't be used at same time and work chairs pushed in after use , you'd have more space in stove area and also moving sofa if required for dining space. Circular table would have similar excursion into the room.
