Hello! We live in a mid-terrace Victorian house. Currently adding on an L-shaped dormer. The builders are planning to insulate an open cell spray foam and then celotex on top to achieve UV value of 0.18.
I spoke to a surveyor who said not to use the spray as some mortgage lenders don’t like it.
A friend also told me not to use the spray and to use the celotex between the rafters and then multi foil underneath the rafter. You could then use timber batons underneath to screw the plasterboard too.
Builders are still pushing the spray and noise reduction and uv value etc.
What’s the best option for head height, UV value etc?
