Hi Sarah I like the greens you chose, I would use those dark green to paint the wall behind the kitchen unit to create a sort of feature wall the will make the beautiful kitchen to stand out. I would use a lighter tint of green for the other walls to create a welcome cosy environment. I fear to use those green throughout the kitchen could make it smaller and darker. I hope it helps Silvia

There’s so many ways and colours to paint furniture that it can be mind boggling:)...Painted a few myself so know how tough it can be, same as what colour to paint a room:)). So here’s my thoughts... I agree with Sonia and think the cinder rose pink all over would be too garish but if it was just the back panel behind the shelves it would look great. In this case I would keep the dresser white and the back panel could be any bright colour you like. Removing the curly trim and changing the handles to match those of the kitchen would certainly help to modernize it and blend in but not totally necessary. Another thought is to add a contrasting trim with the aid of masking tape around the edges, a bit like contrasting piping on upholstery, so for eg. If you painted the cabinet yellow you could pick up the edges with the pink. Hard to find an example but found and image that uses orange and pink. My choice would be to keep white but with yellow trim then bring one of the yellow chairs back for next to the fire.

Sorry Sam I've onlu just seen your comment now, that Sonia has posted. Love that green with the white Sonia, particularly the flooring. Is that too MCM for your house Sam, because it does look lovely on this photo. Given the tardis and the fab gold collage I think my feeling was to also go with your bold/darker colours above the picture rails and on the ceiling (Abigail Ahern 'embrace the dark' style', but if you want it a bit airier (?) and a have a fresher feeling, then maybe the white? Woud you not continue the vinyl you've got in the hall on the landing and continue the painted runners on the half stairs?
