What colour would you paint this kitchen?
Comments (6)Wow, I love the European vineyard-esque details of this space. It is going to look beautiful when you are done! At Purehome.com, we specialize in hand curating paint palettes and furnishings that speak to your individual style- from what I can see, I would recommend these colors (which are available in Benjamin Moore). Overall, to accent the beautiful blue cabinetry, I would recommend using a paint with golden undertones- this will really balance the room out and allow that great piece to pop. We have a patented algorithm to get the perfect complements for you! http://www.purehome.com/ics-nw-10-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-ng-11-interior-color-sample http://www.purehome.com/ics-4-1-interior-color-sample...See MoreKitchen cupboard paint colour
Comments (17)I don't know if you're painting this yourself but personally I might make some updates before doing so. Kitchens are very expensive to paint and I don't think its money well spent if you don't love the actual design (just going on your ideabook though so may be wrong). I think your canopy along with the "fillers"is wide enough to do similar this in the first pic? If you decide to remove the cupboards I would do something similar to the 2nd pic and probably add some form of shelves to bridge the space between the oven. i would also make the end of the island into bookshelves. I think once the decorative pillars and fillers between the base units are painted they will blend in. You could try shaded or shadow white and see how it works with the worktop but they're quite good colours for dark rooms. I would keep the island the same colour as the outer units. I do love inchrya blue but just wondering if a light colour will make the ceiling seem taller (although the blue won't make it any shorter than the red!). Unless needed for privacy I'd remove the blinds and maybe think about wooden shelves on the rhs...See MorePaint colour for Kitchen cupboards and tiles?
Comments (13)Hi Tricia. I agree with the other comments that painting kitchen cabinets is a lot of work and I don’t think you would be better pleased with the end result. Some cabinets can take painting better than others. For a different idea you could extend the wall cabinets almost up to the ceiling by either finding extra wall units or if you’re handy with diy creating them yourself. Then replace doors with some mdf panels which you can then prime/paint yourself (see pics below for the kinda thing I was thinking of). Mdf doesn’t cost all that much but if you’re not confident with cutting or drilling hinge holes then a local joiner could do this for you. Wouldn’t normally recommend painting tiles but if it’s just short term then it’s maybe worth a try. I wouldnt use any wood panels behind a gas hob tho, might be a fire risk....See MoreHelp w/ paint colour for hallway, downstairs incl kitchen cupboards
