Front door colour advice please !
Comments (9)Ultimately the question is how do you want to feel when you open your front door? What impression do you want to give to guests, friends and family anyone who comes to your door? Colours all have different meanings to each of us. A bright yellow door signifies happiness and bubbly personality but that may not be for you if you want to an elegant feel to your front door. So it all comes down to how you want your home to feel? Uplifting, elegant, bright?...See MoreFront door/window changes
Comments (20)Sorry @Grant Lyon, none of those doors are mine, they were just examples to demonstrate what I was saying. This is my front door which I got from a random company I found on FB in 2017 called Nudoor. They seem to have now been dissolved according to Company house....See MoreWindows for mock tudor effect house
Comments (17)Good afternoon James, Thank you for sharing. Black windows tend to look great in terms of making the window frame look slimmer. If you still have the original timber windows painting these in a more satin finish rather than gloss is beneficial aesthetically. Regarding any thoughts on the beautiful timbers, I have learnt that Tudor building timbers were originally a shade of green. At the time this was one of the most highly sought after paints and a sign of wealth. It was during the victorian era that they were painted black. So either way black or perhaps a soft light green from Farrow & Ball would be in keeping with a tradition. If you would like the house to look fresh and inviting the idea of a lighter green on the timber and doors has a vote from me! And in this case the windows would be a light shade also. Enjoy the transformation! Many thanks, Ellen Ellen Utley Interiors...See MoreFront of house replace windows and door..

Although you might want a view the design of those windows could be better. Split the big panes up into sections. Is the reason you don’t use the front door because it’s awkward to use it because of having 2 doors? If you have no plans to use the door in the image I would be tempted to get rid of the outside doors and just have the inner doors as it will provide you with a covered area....See MoreRolly Polly
