I went for a Matt finish but in a kitchen one coat paint. It's completely your preference though and a silk might be better to clean? I'm just lazy and buy the same paint for the whole house so it's easy to repaint down the line

It's not so much that it's difficult, it's a bit time consuming as you have to have enough of the wood ( spare drawer fronts ) to make a cupboard door with. In fact you probably will need extra wood that matches as you need a frame for the door, if not for that but definitely for inside to deck out the new cupboard. Same applies to the smaller one. Thankfully it's raw pine, so it's very easily available. You will of course have a bit of extra wood from the hole that you cut for the sink, so the carpenter may be able to utilise that for the door! It also has to be finished with something waterproof by the way!

I think it could be quite cool with the floor. I wouldn’t paint that particular wall a different colour as it will separate the parts of the kitchen, Apologies as I can’t use photoshop at all. I might be tempted to paint that end wall something like charlottes lock by F&B then add a kilim rug with orange and blues but straddling the L shape so it draws your eye down and connects them. Then add art on the left wall. Were you planning on adding a table? I might go with a wooden table or chairs. Then add wooden chopping boards plus herbs and a plant etc.

I'm in Northern Ireland and used Dee Light Furniture Facelifts NI. He has a Facebook page with lots of photos of his work showing lots of colours so its worth a look there. His standard of work is excellent and came highly recommended by word of mouth. He also builds this tear drop caravans to order! I think it was worth paying someone as he made our existing doors and drawers look brand new filling the holes from the old handles. We could never have done that to his standard
