Kitchen planner

I have recently had my kitchen cupboard fronts replaced. My kitchen still needs either painting or painting/ part-tiling. It needs new flooring & a new light fitting. Being honest I have no experience in what to choose. I need some help please! Does anyone know if such a service exists for a person who would advise me as to what would look good, but I am on a budget. I would love to complete my kitchen project but I have lost intetest and lacking in ideas. I live in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

You could just post photos of the room on here along with ideas of what styles etc you like and people will make suggestions.

alternatively there are online designers who offer services for just one room. I think lots of designers started during this during lockdown but one that springs to mind is My Bespoke Room whom are on here, they all seem pretty affordable

There’s Floor Planner and a few free downloadable ones on apps too - but please, please, please get your own design safety checked by a credible designer before you order anything ! It’s a big investment, and needs to be safe, as you will be living with it for a long time ! If you want to look at some plans we have done - click on my icon to go to our pro page. Hi, They are definitely a thing. OnePlan is a pro on here who comments and helps people with many problems and has done loads of work for people remotely. She's really helpful and has various price points in terms of service. I don't think from memory she's local to you however but can't remember off the top of my head.

Help! Layout options for side and front extension, best use of space!

We are in the process of extending (a joint project with our neighbours to gain an extension to the front box room, then along the ground floor across the front and down the side of the house). We're having some last-minute layout dilemmas, the floor space isn't the biggest, but we will gain some essentials from it (bigger kitchen, downstairs shower/toilet, office space, porch and the bigger box room upstairs). Our shower room is going to be fairly slim (worked out as 900x2900mm at the minute). This also creates a slim corridor space beside that leading to an office which I've bumped along a bit to give some more space (sacrificing utility space at the other end, when you compare my Ikea layout with original drawings). The other option is to access the office from the lounge, meaning we could lose the corridor altogether and widen the shower room, but that would make the office open to noise from the lounge and I think it's a weird place to add a door. We're also struggling with options for the laundry/utility space too and whether to just include it as an extension to the kitchen. I've added some screenshots and links to an Ikea planner I used to map the ground floor out completely (ignore the colour and the basic mapping of furniture etc. it also doesn't include the pitched roof and Velux windows). Any input would be appreciated, I'm just looking for layout ideas and tips for anyone that has similar sizing/spacing set-ups. Thanks. @Marina Drobot thank you so much for the thoughtful redesign! It's looks fantastic and we're very tempted to follow it with the masses of storage and kitchen space - however we really want the additional living space. We love the idea of the whole overall space being a communal area, and the living space is a big part of that. Your design is very creative and not something we would have thought of ourselves. We can help for free! Show us a few photos of your kitchen so far then we can all come up with suggestions for wall colours, tiles, floor etc. Have a look at photos on Houzz and Pinterest by just searching “kitchen ideas” with the colour of your new units. I get most of my decor ideas this way. This will help you form ideas of what you do and don’t like. Here’s a picture plucked from Pinterest that I liked, but there are hundreds.

Thanks to Jonathan, Sonia, Minnie & all who have commented on my kitchen ideas request. I have had a busy day so will be posting photos up of my kitchen at the weekend. Its only a very small kitchen but will appreciate any help & feedback.
