Change colour of bathroom units

Moved to house with new bathroom fitted. Lovely bathroom except fitted units are black gloss. Cannot live with the colour so looking for decorating solutions to change colour instead of refit of units.

You could paint the doors or get replacement doors maybe. Vinyl wrapping may also be an option if you can find a fitter in your area.

Hi Daniel, The cabinets in the top photo are custom-made from Crystal Cabinetry in the US: shown is a veneer of lyptus wood over a slab substrate. Wall hung vanity units are available from Ikea and some Italian cabinetry lines. Pine cabinetry may be had, but it is a softer wood than oak or maple (and others). Maple or alder may be an alternative as each can take a light stain well. Do you have some pictures of the space you're trying to design--is it new construction or renovation? Thanks for all the great ideas guys! Just had the builder to view the flat and here are some updates: builder said the soil pipe seems to be straight down, but could install a pump to flush it; although the estate agent said the pipe goes from external wall at the back of the flat. Not exactly sure who is correct. the budget is likely to go between 30k-35k. I also had a measure of the current bathroom dimension which is 1.67*2.13m. and the ceiling height is 2.56m. we'll probably change the bedroom wardrobe and free up some space as well...

Just one thing that has come to mind, wood can expand and contract slightly so possibly better of bonding some metal flat bar (30mm or 40mm wide, you can get it in b&q) then the wooden frame onto that If you know a local metal fabrication place the could make you a frame from steel angle, mine is u section along the top for hanging and angle along the sides and bottom, I’d say you’d be fine with just the flat bar option above then the wood :-)

My favourites are: A semi-closed off shower and loo. I have a similar layout at home, though still completely different. When entering the space, you'll mainly see bath and sink. Or this one, which sprouted from the very first idea to place shower and bath in the same line. With two sinks your radiator should be hung elsewhere, inbetween windows made sense for heating reasons, but perhaps not the best spot aesthetically. (And I've moved the door to create a good spot for a tall storage unit.) So I've looked up some radiators that would be just fine next to the bath or inbetween sink and loo:

I think vinyl wrap as well.. You could paint the gloss doors if you sanded them well and prepped etc but it's so much easier to get them wrapped or do it yourself if you only have a few.

Just swap the doors. I doubt it will cost more than a vinyl wrap.
