Amazing wall. How is the wood affixed to the wall?

Thinking modern nails would ruin the rustic look so how is it affixed to the wall? Can't see any nails in the photo..did they use construction adhesive?

We use a combination of adhesive and trim nails. We paint the top of the nails black so there is no shine to reflect off the light. We also go in at angles below and above eye level.

Hello Ruth, I very much like these white boards. It may look untidy but this feature would perfectly go for industrial style interior or Scandinavian one. Understandable if it is not your favourite but I think, ripping them off would give a massive job. creativeorg gave you some practical ideas and do consider painting the door and its frame. Wood/pallet Wall??

I wonder if anyone out there has installed a "pallet wall" or similar? We would like to add one into our lounge to go behind the TV. At the moment we are debating whether to use off cuts of new cedar or source some wood from old pallets, or possibly old floor boards. Can someone tell me an easy method to install and any suggestions how to approach this idea? We will also need to mount a TV speaker to the wall so whatever method we use will have to allow for something fairly weighty to be mounted onto it. Many thanks for any suggestions/advice.

There is just the issue of the cupboard in he corner, do you think I should go brown to match the vanity unit, white or grey? Or a mix? My husband started painting the doors in a light blue colour but it doesn’t seem to come together with the rest of the scheme unless I put some down in it somewhere? Any ideas?

You can get the effect you want with wallpaper. I think there might be issues with applying a “floating floor” ie; laminate floor, to your wall. Maybe if the “planks” in the paper ran up and down rather than side to side your room would appear more spacious? I think side to side will emphasize the narrowness of the room as already mentioned.
